What does w/ Hook mean?
The beat includes a written and performed hook. You can record your verses around it.
Can I replace the hook with my own vocal?
Yes. You don’t have to use the performed hook. Record your own take of it, or write a new one over the instrumental.
Who wrote the hook, and how is it credited?
Hook lyrics are written by Shadow Scribe Collective, which keeps the copyright in them. Your license covers using them in your recording. Credit “Hook written by Shadow Scribe Collective” and list SSC as a co-writer when you register the song.
Can I release commercially?
Yes. Every beat, including its hook, is cleared for release within your license tier’s limits. No uncleared samples. Credit “Prod. SSC Beats”. For anything beyond Unlimited, talk to us before release.
Can I get the stems?
Yes, on beats that list the Unlimited MP3 + WAV + STEMS License ($129.99): Unlimited rights plus the instrumental stems for your own mix. Stems are for your own release only. You can’t resell them or reuse them in kits or loops.
Do you sell exclusives?
By inquiry only, for artists and labels with a release plan. Exclusive deals are negotiated individually, including publishing and royalty terms. Ask about an exclusive license.
